Born Sibusiso Sibanda as the second
child in a family of three, he was sired by Allan Sibanda to Monica
Mhlanga on the 8th of April 1979 at Mpilo Hospital.
Ms Mhlanga originated from cross Tohwe
in Nkayi, and Sibanda (senior) is from Esiphezini koChief Sigola
(Esigodini). Sbue grew up in the Makokoba Township of Bulawayo and
did his primary education at Lobhengula Primary School at Makokoba.
He also attended Mathetshaneni Primary
School in Nkayi and then Lotshe before proceeding for his secondary
schooling at Mzilikazi (Mgandani) upto Form 4.
He went to Amavevane who were being
coached by Clement Chimimba, and he was also coached by Tshuks
Tshukela Tshuma at Division 1, with the likes of Tatenda Magaisa and
Fazo Ndlovu.
He used to play for Stops FC at Ross
Camp alongside Musa Mguni, Ezrom Nyandoro, Dalisiwe Dlamini, Malizwe
Mpofu, Mgcini Mhlophe, Johannes Ngozo, Vusa Nyoni, Collymore Ncube,
Vusa Tshabalala, Petros Ngozo, Aggrippa Sibanda just to name a few.
He had a stint at Amakhosi (Pumula)
coached by Cosmas Ndlovu, and is now based in Cape Town (Kaapstad),
South Africa, in the Hotel and Hospitality industry and enjoying it.
