Benjamin "Benjani" Mwaruwari has insisted that he's in no rush to find a club and said that he could possibly join up with SuperSport United next week.
The 34-year-old Zimbabwean has been linked with a return to the PSL since last year and, although a number of PSL clubs have been connected to the former Manchester City striker's signature, nothing has materialised as yet.
Benjani ended his European venture at the end of last season after a successful 11-year spell saw him play for a host of top quality teams, including the likes of Auxerre, Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers.
The former Zimbabwe international has flirted with the idea of ending his career in the PSL, where his illustrious professional career began over a decade ago with Jomo Cosmos.
Having recently trained with Cosmos, it was rumoured that he would join the NFD side but he has explained that that was never an option.
He told the Siya crew, "Yeah, I'm just taking my time, but you know football, anything can happen. I trained with Cosmos to keep myself fit, maybe once a week. SuperSport didn't train yesterday, and they have a game tomorrow, maybe we'll see next week." Although the transfer window closes today, Mwaruwari will not be affected by the window slamming shut, as he is a free agent and can join at any time.
