At the same level, all things equal and with just facts on the table, I am a better coach than Arsene Wenger. In the build-up analysis of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, in all points and tactical issues that we differed, I beat him clean. That is looking at the teams he said would win, and why they would. It translates to winning all my head to head with him at the highest level of competition.
Arsene Wenger is proven talent developer, bringing the unknowns to the fore and nurturing them before he releases them while he creates more germs. He operates on a low-budget efficiently. It has not always worked for the team as fans would have loved to see, but that endorses his class ahead of the chasing pack. The man knows his job in and out and has the arrogance to go with it. He has fair play engraved in his heart.
Jose Mourinho does well with the products of the likes of Wenger. He knows what he wants and gets it. He gets players to give him exactly what he demands. What I like about him is that he is a schemer that trusts in his own abilities and has the guts to move on to seek another challenge after every mission accomplished. This places him above the less gifted but more famous Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sir Alex has always had the ripe players and the money to complement his team successfully. He has stayed in one place forever and everything in that environment looks and smells like him. There is no doubt that he can not make it elsewhere, never. That is why he stays put at Old Trafford to maintain a clean name.
