A CHINHOYI regional prosecutor allegedly raped his teenage maid twice after she turned down his love proposal.
Admore Shekede (35) was not asked to plead when he appeared before regional magistrate Ms Adiona Masawi who remanded the matter to October 22 this year for trial.
The complainant is a 16-year-old girl who was employed as a maid by Shekede.
Prosecutor Mr Sidom Chinzete alleges that on February 7 this year at about 2am, Shekede arrived home and found the teenager ironing clothes.
He allegedly sat on a sofa and invited the girl to sit next to him.
The State says the girl turned down the offer, but Shekede persisted until she complied.
Shekede, the court heard, proposed love to the minor who shot down his proposal.
He allegedly grabbed her hand and dragged her into his bedroom and threatened her with unspecified action if she screamed.
The prosecutor is alleged to have forcibly removed the girl's under garments and raped her twice.
After raping her, it is alleged, he told her to go and sleep.
The girl complied and went to the dining room and discovered that she was bleeding.
She allegedly took Shekede's Dynamos Football Club flag and used it to wipe off the blood.
The State will produce the blood stained flag as an exhibit.
The following morning she reportedly showed a neighbour the blood-stained flag while narrating her story.
The State says she also phoned her uncle and informed him that Shekede had raped her.
The girl was later accompanied to Chinhoyi Central Police Station where she was referred to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.
She was medically examined and a medical report to be used in the case was compiled.
