Sources close to Ajax Cape Town have informed the Siya crew that they will pull out all the stops to bring former coach, Foppe de Haan, back to the club.
While it is not thought that the Urban Warriors see De Haan as a long-term replacement to Maarten Stekelenburg, he is deemed to be the favourite to help them in their current situation.
Ajax recently relieved Stekelenburg of his duties at the club, after a poor start to the season, and are now in search for a suitable successor who can take the club forward.
A host of names have been linked with the struggling PSL outfit, however according to the source, De Haan remains at the top of the list.
It is unknown as of yet who will be in charge of Ajax when they return to action on October 20, against SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout, however it would not be a surprise to see Jan Pruijn keep his place, as interim coach, or to see De Haan retake his seat on the bench.
Should the club fail to secure De Haan, it is thought that they would prefer a Dutch coach at the helm, in line with their football ethos.
