Anderson of Man U Almost Roasted Alive

Brazilian midfielder, Anderson of Man U, was almost roasted alive in the Northern Portugal when his car crashed over the weekend. He is said to have been dragged out of his sports car that had rammed against the wall and burst into flames. He was for only minor injuries and released from hospital, and is expected to be going back to Man U to recover from his knee injury suffered in February this year.

Ashley Cole is likely to bear a 'No Sale ' tag probably as Chelsea's way to up the stakes. Frankly is he that valuable? They are putting a claim of him being the best left back in the world. Do these guys know Tsepo Masilela and Onismo Bhasera?

Anyway, Arsenal overcame Celtis 3-2 in a hard-fought battle, thereby winning the Emirates Cup, after a Lyon-AC Milan 1-1 draw. This does not convince me that the Gunners are any Championship material at all, neither do I think it convinces the 'Suarez'd' Cesc Fabregas to stay at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger should be content with Frimpong as a good replacement for now and go to First Mobile Sports Academy in Canada to fish a youngster.

Borussia Monchengladbach of Germany beat Liverpool 1-0 in Joe Cole's debut match in a pre-season preparation match. Liverpool had the opportunity to introduce substitute Raheem Sterling, 15, with 6 minutes of play left, but still found time to receive a yellow card for a late tackle.

Chelsea seem to enjoy a luxury of defeats as they succumbed to a second one at Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank Arena, losing 1-2, in a match Youssi Benayoun made  his debut for the Blues. Michael Essien was also in action in that match.

One big story of the weekend, besides the F1 crash of Lewis Hamilton, whose gearbox saw him retire after 29 laps, hence giving Mark Webber the lead, was the Manchester United's chase for German Ozil. Ozil says he is not going anywhere. You never believe anyone in these issues, but only one man at a time can be right.
