The Chronicle reports the Bosso debts are not over. Highlanders are said to be making arrangements with the people they owe money. The report says that legal fees are making it worse for the club.
As if not getting results was not enough, it seems the players are not getting paid. This may be one of the problems the executive committee are facing with Fathi. They can not fire him for losing with a hungry squad.
According to The Chronicle, Bosso have over 4 000 registered members and could raise about US$20 000 if all their members paid the US$5. Highlanders owed Colonel Tshinga Dube's son about US$26 000.
They owe their players US$13 500 in allowances for the Sudan trip that Bosso undertook in 2008 and US$35 000 owed to their former coach Madinda Ndlovu.
They owe ex-striker Ralph Matema US$5 000, that is, 10 percent of his transfer fee to South African giants Orlando Pirates in 2007. According to FIFA, this is illegal, unless Ralph signed documents to agree to this.
The bus is still attached by the Deputy Sheriff. The Bosso woes are very far from over. Only a Good Samaritan's windfall can rescue the team from the jaws of destruction.
Bosso fired a few players who were involved in industrial action over their dues a few months ago. The daily paper also said Highlanders chairman Themba Ndlela confirmed that the South African team Jomo Cosmos, were on their way to Bulawayo for a friendly match at BF.
But then, what do we do, import Administrators from overseas like we do coaches? The South Africa league has expat CEOs, but clubs are managed by locals. Without going far, Dynamos are managed by locals. I think there is something people are not saying about Bosso. Being African, it would be easy to blame it on juju. There is someone the Club must appease to make peace and things will be right. And it's definately not me.
