Tottenham Hotpsurs Held To A Goalless Draw By Man City.

Tottenham boss, Harry Redknapp belives Spurs are ready for the championship title, but a goalless start to the 2010/11 English Premiership season saw Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester City fail to produce any goals. The 0-0 draw is their 31st against each other in the league. While entertaining, the points dropped now may be what counts later.
Winning championships means beating the fellow contenders, a feat Arsenal will also have to learn soon. A point gained by Tottenham Hotspurs is meaningless for their big dreams. It was actually 2 points dropped considering they played at home. They have a taxing schedule given the European safari and the FA Cup to come.
Manchester City, for all their money, should also consider that as 2 points dropped, if they fancy going to Old Trafford, Standford Bridge, Emirates and Anfield to collect further points. The result doesn't give the Club owners, the trusted coach or the costly assembled and well paid players any confidence going forward.
Harry Redknapp, who wants to sign free agent William Galls to cover Tottenham Hotspurs central defence, had this to say yesterday about a question of booing him by the fans, "If he comes in and plays rubbish then the crowd will slaughter him. If he comes in and plays great they will love him.”
Redknapp believes Spurs are ready to be labelled title contenders. He believes they closed a gap on Arsenal and that getting the signings he wants, they will be championship material.“It is about time somebody else won the championship. It is not impossible and that is what I will tell the players tomorrow (today).” he said.
He is surely the more disappointed of the 2 coaches.
