Shaking off the dust of Khayelisha and Soweto gathered during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Lionel Messi banged hat-trick at the Nou Camp as Barcelona won 4-0 against Sevilla on Saturday. There was a laboured Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 win to reach the semi-finals of the MTN8 competition over Bloemfontein Celtics at the Rand Stadium, Amakhosi's new home ground for these season, on Saturday night. The match was lively and Celtics didn't mount much challenge in their cause. Knowledge Musona's 22nd minute free kick was the difference Chiefs needed to advance.

Mamelodi Sundowns blew their chances to the semi-final after a penalty shoot-out, after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ajax Cape Town. Katlego Mphela had equalised after a surprise lead that was cancelled within minutes. Moroka Swallows also booted out the League Champions, Supersport United, after another penalty shoot-out 4-3 win to reach the semi-final.

The Happy People, Orlando Pirates, will face The People's team, Santos, in another quarter-final this afternoon at Orlando Stadium. Pirates will be hoping to stamp their authority and win their legion of fans something to shout about.

Emmanuel Adebayor is freshly being linked with Real Madrid switch as is Dirk Kuyt to Inter Milan. Arsenal are said to be toiling hard for goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer despite all you have heard so far.
