Kaizer Chiefs in good form as they go 2nd

Kaizer Chiefs beat the champions, Supersport United 2 - 0 after clinical finishes by Knowledge Musona in the 41st minute when he fired a low shot after ghosting on the back of a stationary defence, and a stylish finish from a counter attack by Siyabulela Songwiqi that added a second goal six minutes from full-time to move to a point behind leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns and 3 above the Happy People, Orlando Pirates. Itumeleng Khune had to be in good form to thwart Matsatsantsa a Pitoli  efforts. Kaizer Motaung Junior was sent off for retailation when he confrontrd the goalkeeper ferociouly. It did not matter as Amakhosi went on to win it confortably with 10 men.

Orlando Pirates beat Ajax Cape Town 3-0 on Saturday as the Buccaneers bounced back from an embarrassing recent home loss to Mpumalanga Black Aces of Witbank. Pirates scored late goals at the Orlando Stadium through Malawian Chiukepo Msowoya's long-range shot that flew past goalkeeper Hans Vonk earlier in the match and then, Daine Klate was on target in the 74th minute following Ajax reckless defending. Ajax were reduced to 10 men when Thulani Hlatshwayo handled the ball to earn a second caution. The Theo Walcott of South Africa, Tlou Segolega used his amazing pace to score the final goal with minutes to go.

Mamelodi Sundowns are leading the standings after they brushed aside rookies, Vasco da Gama in Cape Town on Friday. The newly promoted Vasco da Gama were narrowly beaten 1-0 by the more experienced and talented Sundowns through a first half goal from striker Nyasha Mushekwi. Mushekwi had a header wrongly disallowed when a free kick was delivered into the box and he headed it in only for the flag to go up.

Another Cape Town side, Santos, drew 1-1 with AmaZulu. Black Aces were beaten 2-1 by Free State Stars. Aces had beaten Moroka Swallows in the Telkom Cuo and had a victory over Pirates looking like a big fluke. Moroka Swallows led Bloemfontein Celtic and eventually lost 1-2 to stay rooted at the base of the log. Swallows are paying the mistake of firing coach Julio Cesar Leal who won the Nedbank Cup in 2009. They have a single point from 6 matches.
second-half lead.

Roger de Sa's Bidvest Wits were 4-1 winners over Golden  Arrows with goals T Mashamaite (8), Tshabangu (34), Myeni (pen 77) and A Langwe (90).
