Menard Mupera converted a first half penalty and Zephaniah Ngodzo scored a wonder goal before half-time for a 2-0 lead going to the break. A very solid display at BF took the visitors by surprise and Bosso pushed forward to squeeze the wind out of Hwange, as Chipangano pointed at the home with the beer.
Bosso had Francis Kanda working alone upfront as a target man and getting the support of the attacking linkmen every time they were in attack. The midfield operation was very effective and able to score the vital goals as well as provide the necessary attack power that Chipangano could not handle.
Highlanders came into the match with 34 league points and a bruised ego after a defeat by Dynamos in the ZAOGA Jubilee Celebration Shield. While Hwange put a brave face, there was no mercy from Tshilamoya who put a polished performance to run out 3-1 victors.
Highlanders' rich league form will surely see them finish in the top 3 or even higher at this rate. The team is now focused on the job at hand and summoning all their anger and vengeance of previous disappointments in the league. Their form may even translate to the anticipated BancABC Cup final against Caps United if the powers that be are brave enough to kick Dynamos out of the cup after players refused to play the semi-final match.
The intact 100% record of 15 points out of 15 will make any coach proud and Mkhuphali Masuku has proven himself as the players are willing to play for him and die for each other in the field of play. Bosso are becoming the team they were known to be and no one will stop them as they may even surprise you by landing the championship against odds and in ages. Khala mantengwane.
