Highlanders FC will cherish the opportunity to vent their energies from frustrating 2 Harare trips last week when they engage Hwange in a Premier Soccer League match at Barbourfields Stadium. Hwange will not desire to be punch bags and Dynamos were victims of their polished performance not so long ago.
Highlanders surrendered the Zaoga 50th Anniversary Celebrations Charity Shield to Dembare by a 1-0 margin and were made to waste productive time travelling for nothing when Dynamos decided not to play Bosso in the BancABC semi-final midweek. Now they will be required to summon all their anger and vengeance in the league. They should have enough firepower if Dynamos have been making it a habit to beat them day in and day out. They have lost the Independence Cup 0-2 to the Harare giants.
It is hard for a coach to prepare a team for both league and cup matches. Ignorant coaches will tell you it is the same. Mkhuphali Masuku's experience will grow and he will have the tricks up his sleeve soon. Under him ,Bosso has collected 12 points out of 12 and will be gunning for another 3 in front of the home crowd although Hwange will be looking to repeat they victory over Bosso who they beat 1-0 previously this season. Things have changed since then and players will know that it was a Fathi regime then and the Cooper syndicate only deals with triple points.
Highlanders cutting edge will be inform Menard Mupera, Francis Kanda, Rahman Kutsanzira, Joel Ngodzo, Innocent Mapuranga, Bekithemba Ndlovu, Zephaniah Ngodzo, Brighton Dube, Brighton Choto and Arial Sibanda. Do you think Bosso are within reach of the championship, given they may get 3 points for the FC Victoria abandoned match and they may replay Dynamos in yet another unfinished match? Watch this space.
