Mkhuphali Masuku recorded his fourth win when Highlanders beat Harare outfit, Lengthens by an odd goal. Bosso has been in scintillating form since Mr Cooper took over from expatriate Mohammed Fathi, winning all his assignments. Bosso beat Caps United at BF last week by a Menard Mupera goal.
The win followed a 2-1 win over the champions, Gunners at the National Sports Stadium. Highlanders also beat Shabanie Mine at Luveve Stadium by a solitary goal under Masuku. The ill-tempered match was a big concern as crowd trouble ended with players fighting and a lady reporter being harassed and beaten.
The victory will take the Bosso points tally to 34, and while there is no pressure on the young coach, much expectation is now on the fans and the crowds are now swelling at the stadia. The BancABC semi-final on Wednesday against Dynamos in Harare will be a stern test. While the Dembare match is always a psychological warfare, Masuku has enough ammunition in manpower and tactics to carry the day.
Bosso and Dembare finally agreed to play the match after the abandonment of the previous encounter at BF. There was a ruling to play the match at Baghdad Stadium but both teams concluded to have the big fixture at the Capital. The winner will play Caps United, who beat Gunners, in the final that carries $40 000 for the winners. The final was pencilled for the 31st October 2010.
There is no doubt Bosso are indebted to Mkhuphali as he seems to have found the rich vein of form that had eluded the former champions.
