It has been resolved that Dynamos and Highlanders will replay their abandoned BancABC Sup8r Challenge semi-final in Kwekwe at a date to be fixed by the Premier Soccer League. This was the resolve of ZIFA and the PSL will set the date in due course.
In a twist of events that Bosso won a court order for a replay, the sponsors want out and both the League and major cup may be sponsorless next year. Dynamos hid in the dressing room for 39 minutes and then came back to the field clad in their casual clothing. They were protesting a Bosso penalty.
When Dynamos finally decided to play, Bosso missed the penalty and a few minutes later they had a spot-kick decision going against them. The coach ordered a Highlanders walkout, taking a leaf from Dembare. They however cut their rest time by 10 minutes, coming into the pitch 29 minutes later. The referee could not continue due to bad light.
This is a life-line for Bosso to try accumulate some cash to pay Mohammed Fathi who is stranded trying to raise his air fares to Egypt. The High Court has ordered Amahlolanyama to pay Fathi $15 000,00. He had served the team with a $30 000,00 bill and it is not clear how the court calculator came with this figure.
With new coach, Mkhuphali Masuku riding a rich form wave, Dembare will be in deep trouble and will rue the day they decided to delay the replay. Cooper has scored a 100% record in his new job and it is hoped he will finish well in the league.
