Highlanders to play Dynamos again and then again this week

The sizzling hot Highlanders FC will face very stubborn Dynamos FC twice this week. They will play the semi-final that abandoned BancABC Cup match on Wednesday and go on to meet them in the league 5 days later. Dynamos are also bubbling with confidence after their 2-0 victory over Shooting Stars by Evans Gwerekwere goals.

Bosso are riding a crest wave of performance with breathtaking football as well as winning games the way they are known to. Since Mkhuphali Masuku took over from Mohammed Fathi as coach, Tshilamoya have no clue what a loss is. Dynamos coach, Elvis Chuchu Chiweshe is a veteran of the game and his tactics will be tested against the new kid on the block.

While Dynamos are much more experienced, owing to their participation in the African Champions League, and given they are second on the log with about 4 games in hand, they will not be a pushover, and Bosso won't even bother looking at that record. The black and white outfit will come charging like a black bull as they bay for the blood of their more favoured opponents.

Coach Cooper has recorded a record 4 out of 4 victories against Gunners, Shabani, Caps United and Lengthens. However, Dynamos will be a different kettle of fish and especially in front of their vociferous Harare fans. Hopefully, the improved Bosso performance will attract the trademark black and white vocal sea at the terraces from now on.

Masuku has said he hoped to play good football and take it one match at a time. The Bosso leadership are excited by the results coming in and can only make an announcement about a substantive coach at the end of the season. The new coach may as well be Masuku as he is performing. The team seem to be in sync with his demands and hopefully the trend continues in the long term.

In league matches played over the weekend, Hwange gave away a 1-0 lead with 3 minutes to go to draw 1-1 with Gunners at the Colliery. Black Mambas were stung by Monomotapa by a solitary second half goal. The Mighty Warriors were humbled 4-0 by Jacob Zuma's Banyana Banyana at Tembisa in an international friendly.
