The Togo government are investigating the nature of a team that travelled and played Bahrain last week and lost 0-3. The issue is similar to the Zimbabwean teams that travelled to the Far East as national representatives on scandalous trip organised by betting syndicates. Togo are clearly stating that the team was completely fake.
Meanwhile, Milovan Rajevac has quit as coach of The Black Stars of Ghana after failing to agree a new contract in which he is said to have wanted a 50% salary increase from US$40 000 to $60 000. The FIFA World Cup quarter-finalist coach is also said to have moved to Saudi Arabia for a coaching job. It is reported he told the Ghana football association that he was not just interested in renewing his expired 2-year-contract.
