Manchester United Disjointed By Bolton In Draw.

Not much polished performance from both teams but there was more of the disjoint of United than the execution of Bolton Wanderers. Bolton were first off the blocks with a Knight goal in the 6th minute. Nani equalised 17 minutes later with commendable solo effort. The scrappy affair continued with the hosts a little more threatening.

United were a little visible in counter attacks. The Dimitri Berbetov and Wayne Rooney combination was always a threat as much a s it was a shade late for each ball, high or low. Petrov fired Bolton ahead in the 67th minute before substitute Michael Owen scored his 200th goal in club football in the 74 minute, 3 minutes after his introduction. Nani's free-kick was directed to the far post to beat the goalkeeper.

Petrov's goal was a classic counter attack move started after a corner clearance. He picked up the ball, racing towards goal, exchanging a few passes before receiving the final ball that he shot towards goal. It deflected off both Van de Saar and Fletcher into the net.

While Chelsea and Arsenal lost yesterday, is it a consolation for Manchester United? I think it is just a bad result for giants like Man U.
