Black Aces Outplays Supersport And Lose.

Mpumalanga Black Aces were in fairly good form but fell to lucky Supersport by a 1-2 margin. Amaziyoni, who made a record 15 signings at the beginning of this season, were strong in passing and winning the ball in midfield, but fell to two sucker punches against the run of play. The law of averages could have made it fair if they got a share of the spoils. At least for their troubles, they netted an injury time goal.

Sunday Chidzambwa Marimo's Free State Stars were up against Orlando Pirates at the spacious FNB Stadium. Free State made the Buccaneers look very ordinary and their determination was a cause for concern as the Happy People could not find their rhythm. They tried to be constructive and increase the pace in the final third of the pitch while Ealla Koto were content to counter-attack. Pirates took the bull by the horns with 20 minutes to go, almost scoring, but it was all blanks ending 0-0.

Mamelodi Sundowns beat Platinum Stars 2-0 with Katlego Mphela and Mabhuti Khanyeza scoring, while Ajax beat Moroka Swallows 3-2, Santos beat Wits 2-1 and Bloemfontein Celtics beat Amazulu 3-1.
