Unbeaten Bosso bite Black Mambas 3-1

Highlanders FC travelled to Harare for a tough date with experienced and physical police team, the revered Black Mambas. Kelvin Kaindu's lineup included goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda and then  Bruce Tshuma, Bruce Kangwa, Innocent Mapuranga, Erick Mudzingwa, Mthulisi Maphosa, Milton Ncube, Peter Moyo, Simon Munawa, Heriteini Masuku and Graham Ncube.

The rich bench of Masimba Mambare, Beaven Chikaka, Bobby Nkomo, Ryan Howes, Lewis Ncube and, Atlast Musasa completed the fighting spirit of the royal warriors representing the City of Kings.

It was always going to be a tough encounter, but the nerves and big hearts would always be vital to set up a mouthwatering encounter like the one witnessed last week at Mandava Stadium against FC Platinum.

True to the expectation, it was Mambas who capitalised on the home advantage to take the lead. They pushed ahead and pressurised seeking to cement their league and seal the deal earlier on. Their cornering of the Bulawayo on a tight spot in their own half did not dampen the resolute determination of Mantengwane as the team refused intimidation on and off the ball.

Bosso weathered the storm well and inched their way into the match. It was a Amahlolanyama all the way just before half-time and Mthulisi Maphosa engineered a brilliant equaliser by Simon Munawa.

There were clear-cut chances to take the initiative on the afternoon, but the scores remained level as the finishing was not spot on. Tshilamoya piled on the pressure baying for the dangerous snakes' blood. As indeed hyenas smelling the blood, the team threw everything into the match. They upped the game and were rewarded with another goal from Munawa again.

The stakes were higher as the home team looked for an equaliser and threatening a great deal with hard work and commitment. It was however Amahlolanyama who crafted opportunities with accurate and incisive passing.

The missed chances were soon forgotten with the match winding up. It was not long before Masimba Mambare scored the third one to make it 3-1 and seal a difficult afternoon and a memorable day as the continuation of the dream start of the league stretched further.

Highlanders have been on song in their previous outings, the only blemish being the dropped points in Mutare against Buffaloes. They recorded excellent wins which include Blue Rangers and favourites,  FC Platinum in their back yard last weekend. They are unbeaten at this point and it will be hard for any team to do so.

Kelvin Kaindu seems to have hit the right notes as the team's rich vein of form is incredible as they are on a purple patch, not only by the results but by playing scintillating football that reminds people of the great sides of old. At this rate, this Bosso generation are curving their names in the colourful history books.

At this stage of the season, the only limit is the sky for the team from Skies. They are hlokolozing.
