Bosso bury Platinum

Highlanders Football Club steamrolled into Mandava Stadium and dug deep to bury the popular FC Platinum in the most unexpected but spectacular way and unearth the special jewel in their new and so far excellent campaign. Bosso came off with a clean away 3-1 win.

In a difficult warm afternoon, it took the craftmanship of Kelvin Kaindu's bullfignting men to wrestle away the vital points. Coming from the Afica Champions League campaign, the precious stone miners were full of confidence and given they boast of a good share of former Tshilamoya players lie the Ngodzo brothers and Gilbert Banda, Platinum were favourites to pick up easy points.

Furthermore, in coach Rahman Gumbo, it seemed like the hosts would rip the Bulawayo giants apart given the coach's pedigree and experience. The Bossolona movement was more purposeful and determined to get stuck in the action and reap rewards of the much more precious mineral than platinum.

It was however Kaindu who triumphed with strikes from Graham Ncube, Simon Munawa and an own goal. The well-attended match was a bitter pill to swallow for the home fans as they expected last year's runners up to brush aside Mantengwane with a soft blow.

The team's commitment and desire to win was pleasing to the coach and supporters alike and the excellent record so far, of three victories and a draw, better things are on the horizon and with more fans' support in home matches, the morale will enhance the confidence of players and the technical department.
